Rapper Project Pat is now a free agent in the music world. Sources reported that the Memphis, TN rapper, who is best known for his albums Ghetty Green and Mista Don’t Play: Everythangs Workin’, was released from Sony Records on Monday (Feb. 26).
The move represents a turning point for Project Pat, who had been with Sony since 1998.
Despite the release from Sony, Project Pat is still an artist on Hypnotize Minds and continues to stay busy as a stand in member for Three 6 Mafia, while promoting his latest album Crook By Da Book: The Fed Story.
Additionally, Project Pat can be seen on the Oscar-winning group’s new reality show Adventures in Hollywood.
Project Pat will also reprise his role as “Big Pat” in Choices 3: The Return of Big Pat, the third installment of Three Six Mafia’s film series, Choices.
Adventures in Hollywood is scheduled to air April 5 on MTV.
