Now, who hasnt dreamt of being a kool singer in front of that all too familiar old fashioned jazz club mic. loads of women around and the spotlight on you.laid back and kick whateva kinda bullshit you wanna. If you black, you know you don dreamt or thought about. Curtis can afford to act out that cliche.
Not original but original to hip hop.
By the way, Saw The Game in london yesterday with wifey and new born. The Brother was keeping a low profile, no guards no bezel…very kool. However, I feel he is troubled spiritualy cos his body language wasnt bouyant, so we all kinda gave him and his fam space. Was nice to see him up close though.

Its looking like this is the real cover art for Kanye’s Graduation. Some wild acid trip type shit, but its kinda cool. Kanye n em are trying to force art back into hiphop. On September 11 go out and support your candidate, whoever that may be. Check out the tracklist below….HHFanatic

nah bruh, i disagree and for the 50’s and the t.i.’s of the game to exist there also must be the common’s, the black star’s, and the dead prez’s. for if we censor one form of what we believe rap music is or isn’t then who is to say what’s real rap music. people fear what they fail to comprehend, because it’s not “familiar” to them but if you listen real close, there’s no difference between what kanye west is saying than to what curtis “50 cent” jackson is saying. they are saying the same thing, they are just choosing different ways of saying it. they each use their specific “code” to reach their target audience i.e those that can relate to them. don’t mistake the persona of the messenger with the message. it’s one and the same. it the voice of oppression ,rage, and freedom. we need to be able to see that, until then we will remain blind. and for the record, i prefer 50.

    MINZ

    (South Jamaica Queens, NY)

MINZ was originally Criminal Minds, then they broke it down to MINZ in 1995 which stands for Masters of Intellect that have Niggas Zoning. MINZ consists of two memebers, L.D & RED MONEY.

MINZ grew up on the same block in South Jamaica Queens.Antonio (LD) & Tariq ( RED) started rhyming together in 1993 on Lakewood Ave. At the time they were hustling and just toyin’ around withthe flows. People around the way were always telling them that they were “nice” with their rhymes. In 1994 they formed MINZ and started going to DEF’s studio on Archer Avenue in Queens with producer Brandon (Beat Don) to start recording songs.

Their first song was called “DAMN”. The song got a good response so they went on to record several more songs. Buddy from the group INTRO(who is LD’s nephew) entered MINZ into a showcase at Camie Hall in New York City. The showcase went very well and several labels were impressed. Since they were not focused and continued their streetlife, MINZ was at a standstill. (More …)

Term is cool, but for someone who lacks the required amount of melanin, he says nigga way too much. And how come he never acknowledges the fact that he’s half French in his songs? Every song is Peurto Rican this and that, but I never hear about him being proud to be French.
